Adult Learning Lewisham also has an adult careers and information and guidance service (IAG) which is available to all learners and Lewisham residents. You can book a one-to-one conversation and get free impartial careers and course advice.

You can enrol online for most courses by visiting the course page and clicking the ‘enrol now’ button, however some courses require a pre-course assessment to make sure you are on the right level before you can enrol.
You can enrol by phone on 020 8314 3300, Monday to Friday, 10am-3pm, and Monday to Thursday from 4.30-7.30pm and Saturday morning from 9am-1pm, during term time only.
You can also enrol in person at any of our adult education centres.
Some courses, such as English or maths qualifications – as well as some digital skills courses – are free.
You can apply for reduced fees on some courses if you’re over 65 at the start of the course or if you’re in receipt of certain benefits.
To make sure you get a place on your course, you should enrol before it starts, but you can enrol on a course up to three weeks after the start date if spaces are available.
We offer qualification courses in English and maths from pre-entry up to GCSE level, and English Speakers of other Languages (ESOL) up to level 2.

To avoid any issues, make sure you continue to the end of the process, if you leave the website early your enrolment will be cancelled.

You’ll receive an email containing all the information you need to begin the course. This will include the date, time and any materials you need to bring to the first class.
You can find details of what you need to bring to the first class on the course information pages. We’ll also email you the details once you’ve enrolled.
Some course fee includes a small charge for basic materials. You may be asked to provide additional materials during your course, which aren’t covered by the course fee.
Where applicable, the course tutor will either email you in advance of the course or discuss the materials you’ll need to purchase during the first class. Please don’t purchase anything before your first session unless you’re told to do so. No liability can be accepted for expenses incurred for a course cancelled or altered at short notice.
If you know you won’t be able to attend a course once it’s started, you’ll need to request a refund at least 14 days before the start date. You’ll get a full refund minus a £10 administration fee.
To apply for a refund because you are ill and can no longer attend the course, you need to provide a doctor’s certificate confirming that you are too unwell to continue. You’ll get a partial refund minus a £10 administration fee. The refund amount will depend on how much of the course is left.

We may be able to offer you a place on an alternative course. If this is not possible and you’ve attended less than 20% of the total course, you’ll get a full refund.
If you’ve attended 20% or more of the course, you’ll get a partial refund. The refund amount will depend on how much of the course is left.
If, after you have attended a few classes, you feel that you are not enrolled on the right course we may be able to arrange for you to be transferred to a more suitable course.
There is limited free parking available at Brockley Rise and Grove Park centres. There is free parking on residential streets surrounding the Brockley Rise centre.
Due to the small sized car park at the Granville Park centre only disabled parking is available. Nearby streets have pay and display parking, and the centre is well served by public transport links.
Blue badge disabled parking bays are available in all our centre carparks. Blue badge holders can also park in metered bays for free if displaying their badge.
