Making the right choice
We want you to make the most of your time with Adult Learning Lewisham, so when you’re choosing a course, it’s important to find the right level course for you.
You can study at different levels according to your previous experience and qualifications. Our staff are available to help you choose the right course.
You can find information about what the course covers in the course information sheet. If you need more information or guidance, email adultlearning@lewisham.gov.uk or phone us on 020 8314 3300, Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.
Your adult education journey
A step-by-step guide to your adult education journey.
-
1. Choose a course
View all of our adult education courses.
For some courses you’ll need to complete a pre-course assessment so we can recommend the right level for you.
-
2. Get support
For certain courses, we may be able to offer extra support with digital skills. Your tutor will be able to give you more information on the other support available. Once you’ve enrolled you will be shown how to access Moodle, our online learning portal.
-
3. Plan your goals
When you start the course, your tutor will work with you to develop your learning plan. Think about what you want to achieve, and what your next steps might be. Further one-to-one support is available if you need it.
-
4. Celebrate
There’ll be opportunities to celebrate your achievements and success with your fellow learners – and you’ll also get to showcase the work you have produced.
-
5. What next?
Your tutor will give you advice on your next steps, and we might even recommend you take another course with us or signpost you to another provider.
You can also get advice on how to take your next steps towards employment or a new career from our adult careers, information, advice and guidance service.
