Adult Learning Lewisham is committed to making its website accessible to as many people as possible. We want everyone to be able to use this website with confidence, regardless of disability, access needs, or the technology they use.
We aim to ensure that our website is inclusive, usable, and compliant with recognised accessibility standards.
Compliance status
This website is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
WCAG 2.2 is an internationally recognised standard that explains how to make web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
We have taken a mobile-first, progressive enhancement approach to accessibility, prioritising clear structure, semantic HTML, and keyboard usability throughout the site.
Accessibility features

- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer)

- Fully keyboard-operable navigation, including the main menu

Testing and evaluation
Accessibility has been considered throughout the design and development process.
